Blackberry Jam FragranceBlackberry Jam Fragrance Oil – Fragrance Spotlight

Natures Garden’s Blackberry Jam Fragrance Oil is a bestselling fragrance.  One might ask “what is the difference between jam and jelly.  Jam, jelly and preserves are all made with fruit that is mixed with sugar and pectin, an indigestible carbohydrate or fiber.  Pectin can be found in the cell walls of most fruit.  When heated with sugar in water, it gels, giving jam, jelly and preserves their thickness.  Jam is made from the crushed pulp of the fruit while jelly is made strictly from the juice of the fruit.  And in preserves, the fruit comes from chunks in a syrup.  You can tell the difference between jam and jelly by sight as jelly spreads pretty evenly and jam will tend to be a little lumpy.

Would you like to your own homemade blackberry jam?  Using the ingredients below and following the 10 steps below, it’s super easy.

What you will need:

5 cups of crushed blackberry (do not puree)

7 cups of sugar

1 package of fruit jell pectin

Step 1:  Very carefully measure out the blackberries

Step 2:  Place the blackberries into a very large pot

Step 3:  Add the pectin to the blackberries in the pot, stirring constantly

Step 4:  Heat the blackberry and pectin mixture on high, while constantly stirring until the it comes to a full boil

Step 5:  Pour all 7 cups of sugar into the pot and stir

Step 6:  Stir constantly as you bring the mixture back to a boil and allow to boil for one minute and then remove from heat

Step 7:  Ladle the mixture into your jars leaving a 1/4″ space at the top

Step 8:  Wipe the rim of the jars and place the canning tops on firmly

Step 9:  Place all of the jars in a canner with very hot water and make sure the water is 1″ above the tops of the jars, leaving them in the water for 10 minutes

Step 10:  Remove the jars from the water.  Then allow the jars to sit untouched for 12 hours.  In 12 hours, you may open and enjoy!!

Soapers, whether you prefer melt and pour or cold process soap making, you will definitely enjoy this scent for all your bath and body products needs.  The maximum usage is 5%.  Our in house cold process soap testing results show that it has a perfect pour with no ricing, no acceleration, and no separation with with a strong scent.  It does discolor to a medium brown.  The vanillin content of Blueberry Cobbler Fragrance Oil is 5%.   Fragrances containing vanilla ingredients may discolor soap. Vanilla White Color stabilizer may help prevent discoloration due to vanilla.  However, there are more than 40 ingredients used in fragrance manufacturing that may contribute to discoloration of products.  Never use candle dye in any body products.  We here at Natures Garden suggest using blue soap colorant and maybe a dash of black soap colorant for darker color using amounts that satisfy your color preference.  Blueberry Cobbler performs perfectly in perfumes and performs well in other bath and body products such as bath oils, bath gels, and lotions.
