Doesn’t this recipe just sound like the perfect idea for you and your significant other to spend Valentine’s Day together? How could you not want to want to experience a body wrap spa session together? Well, just so you know, once the wrap has thickened, you can start to apply it your body. Then go ahead and sit in your bathtub for half an hour to an hour, but no water in the tub! Make sure to cover yourself in your warm towels, this will help the wrap draw out water retention and toxins! When your time is up, remove the saran wrap and wash the mixture off of your body! If you want to make this wrap to repackage and sell it, just make sure to add Optiphen to preserve it!

Even better, this body wrap has so many benefits for your skin! The rose clay contained in this wrap has many wonderful benefits. Rose clay helps to increase circulation, reduce inflammation, exfoliates the skin, removes dead skin cells, and reduces any wrinkles, scarring or age spots! The rose clay also works to reduce any irritation, tighten pores, promote new skin cell growth, and even regenerate collagen! The rose hips powder will help to hydrate your skin and lock in moisture, give your skin a beautiful glow, and help to treat any skin conditions like acne! On top of all of those amazing benefits, the Dead Sea Salt can help your skin as well! Dead Sea Salt will moisturize and soften any dry skin, reduce wrinkles and inflammation, and help with conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis! Enjoy this amazing wrap! When you are exfoliating your body from head to toe, don’t forget about your lips! Using a lip scrub like Natures Gardens Natural Sugar Lip Scrub will do the trick at leaving your lips completely soft and kissable; to match the rest of your freshly exfoliated body.

How to Properly Exfoliate

In order to keep your skin looking healthy and radiant, exfoliation must be done; especially as we age.  The keys to remember here are to have an exfoliating tool like a loofah or wash cloth, your exfoliating scrubs (one for body, one for face) and moisturizer ready.

The best time to start the exfoliation process is before a shower or bath.  By rubbing down your body before getting it wet, you will be able to remove dead skin cells, therefore allowing the new skin cells to be cleaned and pores unclogged.

Never exfoliate if you have skin that is sunburned, areas with cuts, or open wounds.  Exfoliating these areas will be very painful for you.

If you are interested in making some great exfoliants for your skin, check out Natures Garden’s Scrub Recipes for some awesome do it yourself scrubs containing some great exfoliants.

Steps for Exfoliating Your Skin:

1. Using a loofah (for oily skin), wash cloth (for sensitive skin), exfoliating gloves (for normal skin), or bath pouf; wipe your body down from head to toe.  This should occur before you step into your shower or bath.  The goal of this step is to remove or loosen any dead skin cell in order to properly exfoliate your skin.  In order to properly exfoliate the soles of your feet, you may want to use a pumice stone since typically the skin here is much harder.  This is done in a circular motion, and be careful not to press to hardly.

2.  Next, step into the tub and wet your body.

3.  Then, apply your exfoliating body wash or scrub to your exfoliating medium (loofah, cloth, gloves, etc).  When you are ready to start washing your body, you will want to do this is a small circular motion.  Although it is not necessary, using a body brush is the easiest way to exfoliate those hard to reach places of your body.  If you are exfoliating your face too, make sure you use a facial exfoliant.  Body exfoliants and facial exfoliants vary in the amount of gentleness for your skin.

4.  When you are ready to rinse, use lukewarm water.  Once all of the cleanser/lather is rinsed off, you will want to do one more final rinse with the coldest temperature water that you can take.  Using the cold water will help to close your pores that were just exfoliated.

5.  Finally, step out of the tub and immediately apply your body lotion.  You still want your skin to be damp.  Since you just exfoliated, you will want to make sure it is a moisturizing lotion.  Since exfoliating your body can be drying process, you want to make sure you are allowing your skin to stay healthy and hydrated.

A great body lotion recipe which is very healthy for your skin is Natures Gardens Shea Lotion with Herbal Infusion.  The herbs used in this recipe are rich in skin loving benefits.

One of the best facial cream recipes is Natures Gardens Natural Facial Night Cream.  This cream also has super nutrient herbs that are wonderfully healthy for your face.

Happy Exfoliating!
